Marsh said fellow contestant Lynne Franks irritated him |
Former England footballer Rodney Marsh has become the fifth contestant to be voted out of ITV1's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! Marsh, 63, and ex-Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson were in the bottom two of the public vote, but Marsh was given the boot.
But the football pundit was not too distraught at leaving the jungle.
Asked if he would have liked to stay until the end, Marsh said he would "rather chew on a broken lightbulb".
The ex-Fulham player added that fellow contestant Lynne Franks irritated him, saying of the PR guru: "I despise everything she stands for."
'Instant connection'
On the budding romance between former EastEnders actor Marc Bannerman and Catatonia singer Cerys Matthews, he also said that he could tell the couple had made an instant connection.
"From the first second that they met, you could tell there was something between them," he said.
"They just seemed to get on fantastically, they just connected."
Panto king Christopher Biggins is favourite to win the celebrity contest after braving his phobia of creepy-crawlies in the latest Bushtucker Trial, involving spiders.
