Reformed rock band The Police have postponed two scheduled UK concerts because lead singer Sting is still suffering from a throat infection. The gigs - part of the reunited trio's five-month world tour - were to have taken place at the MEN Arena in Manchester on Monday and Tuesday.
The same ailment forced the group to call off two concerts in Germany and another in Belgium last week.
Promoters Live Nation said it hoped to reschedule the gigs soon.
The Police began their world tour in May and have been playing to sold-out houses ever since.
Greatest hits
The band are scheduled to perform their last two European concerts in Cardiff on Friday and London on Saturday.
It is not yet known whether those dates will be affected by Sting's throat problems.
Sting, drummer Stewart Copeland and guitarist Andy Summers formed The Police in 1976 before drifting apart in the mid-1980s.
After Europe, their world tour continues in Latin America, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
The band released a 30-track greatest hits album in June.
