Fans' fury over Snoop's axed tour
P Diddy and Snoop Dogg
The tour will resume in Dublin at the end of March
Many Snoop Dogg fans have been angered by the cancellation of the US rapper's joint UK tour with P Diddy after he was denied a visa.

A tour spokesman said efforts had been made to "reverse the decision".

Speaking to BBC 1Xtra, P Diddy the news was "disappointing" as they had planned a "special show" for their fans.

Hina Joshi from Sunderland said she was "raging" after spending money on a hotel and train ticket for Manchester's gig on Thursday.

'Gutted'

"It's really disappointing when you've been looking forward to something," she said.

Ticket holders can get refunds from the original place of purchase if they bought them from an official source.

But David Cartwright from Manchester has lost contact with his eBay seller after spending 200 on four tickets.

"I'm lost for words," he said. "Why did they leave it until a few days before they said: 'No you're not coming in?'"

P Diddy said they had no idea this would happen.

"Once his work permit was granted, everybody felt comfortable to go ahead and put the concert up," he said.

"It wasn't like this was the first time we were in discussions with the Home Office.

"You know there were discussions prior to this - they led us to believe that everything would be approved."

Despite the tour being cancelled, P Diddy insisted there were no hard feelings.

"I know that Snoop is a great guy, a positive guy, and I'm not throwing any stones at the Home Office or at the government.

"Everybody has their own laws and their own rules in their own countries, and, you know, we're going to respect them," the musician said.

He added he would not consider doing the concerts without Snoop Dogg and pledged to return to the UK to perform a free show as an apology to fans.

That may come too late for some fans, however.

"I am gutted," said Andrew Yeates from Swansea, south Wales. "I had the tickets bought for me as a Christmas present and I have taken two days off work."

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office said it could not comment on individual cases.
