Bob Dylan's weekly US radio show, in which he plays his favourite music, is to be broadcast in the UK by the BBC's digital rock station 6 Music. The Theme Time Radio Hour will be heard on Fridays at 2100 GMT from 12 January.
And there will be "sneak previews" for listeners during Christmas week, when sister station BBC Radio 2 transmits six recent editions of the programme.
Dylan, who has sold almost 100 million albums worldwide, began broadcasting in May on XM Satellite Radio.
"A lot of my own songs have been played on the radio, but this is the first time I've ever been on the other side of the mic," he has said of his shows.
As well as the eclectic mix of music, all of which is picked by the star, there are interviews and discussions on music and other topics.
Some programmes have themes, and so far these have included cars, whisky, the police and the weather.
Dylan will appear on Radio 2 every day from 23 to 28 December.
There will be one show on 6 Music on New Year's Eve before the regular run begins a fortnight later.
