Scissor Sisters describe the UK as their "spiritual home" |
The Scissor Sisters are headlining the last major music festival of the summer, Bestival, on the Isle of Wight this weekend. The New York disco group are joined on the bill by the Pet Shop Boys and singer Lily Allen.
Guillemots and Hot Chip - who were both nominated for the Mercury Prize - are also playing.
More than 15,000 people are at the event on the island's Robin Hill Country Park.
The line-up for Bestival was chosen by BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank, who will himself perform at the event.
Other DJs joining him include Sasha and Carl Cox.
Clown ban
In addition to the music, Bestival features an inflatable church - in which mock weddings can be staged - and a solar-powered cinema. There will also be a cabaret in a Big Top.
But the festival's original circus theme was dropped after there were complaints from people suffering from a fear of clowns.
"No clowns please," said a spokesman.
"All other silly attire positively encouraged though and you can still come in a non-clown circus costume if you want to."
The festival runs from Friday to Sunday.
