Soul star Lionel Richie is to perform with the BBC Concert Orchestra at the Proms in the Park event in London. Many of the US singer's hits will be rearranged for the show, which takes place in Hyde Park on 9 September.
Richie will be joined on the bill by Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, Romanian soprano Angela Gheorghiu and British trumpeter Alison Balsom.
The musicians will appear prior to a live link-up with the Last Night of the Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
The orchestra will be conducted by Carl Davis.
There will be other Proms in the Park events on the same day in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and Swansea.
Highlights from all five concerts will be shown as part of coverage of the Last Night on BBC One and BBC Two.
