There is a guaranteed jackpot of 1m on Ant and Dec's new show |
Ant and Dec are to host a game show with a 1m prize pot which they devised and played themselves in a pub. The Con Test is based on bluffing, with participants having to persuade their opponents they know the right answers even if they do not.
The programme will be seen on ITV1 over seven nights later this year.
Declan Donnelly said: "You don't need great general knowledge, but you need the intelligence to convince the other contestants you know the answers."
He added: "We came up with the idea about two years ago and tried it out on our friends - we played it out in a room upstairs at our local pub."
Celebrity football competition
The presenters' other projects for ITV this year include Soccer Aid, which will be seen in the run-up to the World Cup.
The celebrity tournament will see Robbie Williams captain an England team against a Rest of the World side led by Scottish chef Gordon Ramsay.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will manage Ramsay's team while former England coach Terry Venables will take charge of the other side.
All proceeds from Soccer Aid will go to Unicef.
Ant and Dec will also be interviewing the Prince of Wales, Prince William and Prince Harry to celebrate 30 years of The Prince's Trust.
