Ratings for Davina McCall's BBC One chat show have hit a new low, with only 2.3m viewers tuning in on Wednesday. ITV1 soap Coronation Street managed over four times that figure, and McCall was also beaten by religious series A Seaside Parish on BBC Two.
Her guests included former EastEnders star Michelle Collins and American singer Cyndi Lauper.
The programmes directly before and after hers - regional news and live football - were each seen by around 5m.
A BBC spokesperson said: "We stand by the show."
Competition from soaps
Audience figures for McCall's show have been falling over the past fortnight, with 3m watching on 1 March and only 2.5m a week later.
Wednesday's was screened an hour earlier than usual to accomodate an FA Cup fifth round replay between West Ham United and Bolton Wanderers.
The 1900 start positioned McCall in direct competition with two of ITV1's most popular soaps.
Emmerdale gained 9.1m viewers, while Coronation Street was seen by 11m.
