The Rolling Stones have cancelled the second and final Spanish concert on their European tour because Sir Mick Jagger is suffering from laryngitis. They had been due to play in the southern town of El Ejido on Wednesday but this has now been called off, just as Monday's gig in Valladolid was.
"Unfortunately I have no other choice and I apologise to everyone who bought tickets," Sir Mick said in a statement.
A spokesman said Sunday's planned gig in London would go ahead as planned.
Altered schedule
Two dates are to be held at Twickenham Stadium, normally used for rugby matches, in the coming week.
These will be followed by shows in Glasgow, Sheffield and Cardiff.
Doctors had ordered Sir Mick to rest his voice after he became unwell over the weekend. It is not the first time that the tour - which began in the American city of Boston a year ago - has been interrupted by illness.
The Stones had to alter several dates when guitarist Keith Richards required surgery for head injuries.
He fell out of what he would later describe as a "little tree" while on holiday in Fiji in April.
