X Factor winner Shayne Ward has claimed the number one spot in the singles chart for the fourth consecutive week.

The 21-year-old talent show winner has dominated the charts since Christmas day when his debut, That's My Goal, shot straight to the top.

Meanwhile The Verve's Richard Ashcroft returned to the singles chart after almost three years, with Break The Night With Colour at number three.

The JCB song, by folk-pop duo Nizlopi, held on to the number two slot.

Two new entries joined the top ten. Sunblock's version of the theme from TV's Baywatch, dance anthem I'll Be Ready, entered the charts at number four; Texas's Sleep, entered at number six.

The George Best tribute by Brian Kennedy and Peter Corry fell one place to number five.

In the album chart, James Blunt swapped places with US band The Strokes to once again take the number one spot. Back to Bedlam has now sold more than 5.5 million copies worldwide.

The Strokes album, First Impressions of Earth, fell to number two, ahead of Back Room by The Editors at number three.

Hard-Fi's Stars Of CCTV and Employment by the Kaiser Chiefs rounded out the top five.
