X Factor winner Shayne Ward remains the bookmakers' favourite to be Christmas number one, announced on Christmas Day.

Eminem's hits album Curtain Call stayed atop the album chart for a third week.

Nizlopi are 27-year-olds Luke Concannon and John Parker from Leamington Spa, who released JCB Song on their own FDM label.

It tells about a boy enjoying a ride in a JCB with his father, wishing he could use the empowerment he feels to tackle bullies at his school.

"This feels quite amazing really because we just didn't think that we would get a number one," said Concannon.

Bookmaker William Hill said X Factor winner Ward was odds-on favourite to leapfrog Nizlopi in next week's Christmas chart.

Ward, 21, won the ITV1 talent show in a live public vote on Saturday and releases his debut single, That's My Goal, this week.

"It is a real pity that Nizlopi did not come out this week as then they would have given Shayne a real run for his money," said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.

Despite being denied their 14th number one, Westlife's previous chart-topper You Raise Me Up was at number 10 in the singles chart.

Robbie Williams had a relatively low new entry with Advertising Space at number eight. Nevertheless his album Intensive Care remained at number two in the album chart.
