 The Pussycat Dolls have scored two UK number ones |
US girl band the Pussycat Dolls beat Oasis to the top of the singles chart with their second number one. Stickwitu, the follow-up to Don't Cha, secured the top spot ahead of Oasis' Let There Be Love.
They both pushed Madonna's Hung Up into third place, while her album was also knocked off the top by Eminem's greatest hits album Curtain Call.
Eminem's album hit the top just three days after release, outselling acts such as Robbie Williams and Take That.
X Factor runners-up G4 saw their second album G4 and Friends enter the chart at number six, while The Darkness' latest release, One Way Ticket To Hell and Back, debuted at 11.
Other new entries in the top 40 album chart were young trio The Choirboys, who are among those in the running for the Christmas number one single, and Slade with another greatest hits release.

In the singles chart Westlife saw You Raise Me Up slip two place to four, followed by the Black Eyed Peas' My Humps at five.
The first American Idol winner, Kelly Clarkson, secured a new entry at number seven with Because of You, followed by Babyshambles, Pete Doherty's latest group, with Albion.
Record companies are gearing up for the lucrative Christmas chart, with Westlife's collaboration with Diana Ross tipped to win the race for the number one spot, which will actually be announced on Christmas Day.
Other contenders include X Factor's Chico Slimani, who was voted off the ITV show on Saturday, and Nizlopi with the JCB Song.
