Irish rockers U2 have reached number one with the new single Vertigo - taken from their forthcoming album How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. The track knocked rap star Eminem off the top spot and into third place while Destiny's Child stayed at number two.
Boy band Blue came straight in at number four with Curtain Calls with Usher remaining at five with Confessions Part II/Boo.
