U2's new album is out next month |
Rock band U2 have announced a world tour next year but are urging fans not to try to buy tickets before the details are finalised. The tour will take in the US, Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia.
"Nothing is confirmed until the official tour announcement, no tickets will be on sale until after this time," said manager Paul McGuinness.
An announcement is expected later this year. Some websites are offering tickets for speculative dates.
"The band are really looking forward to getting out on the road," said Mr McGuinness.
Missing tunes
U2's new album, due for release on 23 November, will be called How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.
The album hit the headlines in July after the recordings went missing. Rough versions of tracks disappeared from a recording studio in Nice, France, prompting fears they could turn up on the internet.
Vertigo, the first single from the album, is out on 8 November and is currently number one in the download charts.
