Wimbledon film still tops chart

Wimbledon stars Paul Bettany and Spider-Man's Kirsten Dunst
Romantic comedy Wimbledon has remained the number one film at the UK box office for a second week, fending off challenges from Layer Cake and Saw.

Starring Kirsten Dunst, Wimbledon took �1.4m during the past weekend, industry tracker Screen International said.

Horror film Saw was a new entry in second place, followed by thriller Layer Cake at number three.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law's film Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow made its UK debut in sixth place.

Other new box office entries include comedy Man About Dog by Irish director Paddy Breathnach in 13th place.

Biographical films The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and De-Lovely, which stars Kevin Kline as composer Cole Porter, entered at numbers 14 and 15 respectively.

In 10th position, Garfield spent its 10th week in the box office chart but lost its position as the highest grossing movie in the chart.

That honour goes to Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, which has taken a total of �9.4m in the UK since its 27 August release.
