Singing stars Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel could be set to perform a concert in London's Hyde Park. The duo, who reunited at the 2003 Grammy Awards for the first time in 10 years, are currently touring the US.
Talks are under way between concert promoters Clear Channel and Royal Parks to bring Simon and Garfunkel to Hyde Park on 17 July.
The concert would echo their 1981 performance in Central Park which was watched by half a million people.
Acrimonious split
A spokesman for Royal Parks told BBC News Online discussions were underway but that no agreement had yet been reached.
Simon and Garfunkel met as children in the New York borough of Queens and released their first record in the 1950s under the name of Tom and Jerry.
During the 1960s they had worldwide success with hits such as Sounds of Silence and Scarborough Fair, but they split in 1970.
After their 1981 reunion, the duo did not play together again until 1993 for a series of concerts in New York and then performed at the Grammy Awards in 2003.
Their current Old Friends tour is taking Simon and Garfunkel to 19 cities across the US.
