Britney's last marriage was annulled after 55 hours |
Pop star Britney Spears has married dancer Kevin Federline during a private ceremony in Los Angeles. The pair's engagement was announced in June after two months together.
They married at a friend's home in the Studio City district, with Spears wearing a white strapless gown and Federline in a tuxedo.
In January the 22-year-old singer married friend Jason Alexander in Las Vegas. That marriage - described as a "joke" - was annulled 55 hours later.
This time, it appears, the union is for real.
"She did marry him yesterday," Jive Records spokeswoman Sonia Muckle confirmed.
Various newspapers reported Britney and her new husband hit the town wearing themed tracksuits. Federline, 26, was reported to have moved in with Spears after she had surgery to repair a knee injury.
He has two daughters from his previous relationship with actress Shar Jackson, with the younger child born in July.
The wedding was attended by between 20 and 30 guests, who dined on chicken wings and ribs, US TV show Entertainment Tonight reported.
Celebrations followed at a club, with some female guests wearing pink towelling tracksuits bearing the legend "The Maids", while male guests wore white tracksuits with "Pimps" written on them.
