US comedian Ellen DeGeneres' new talk show has been nominated for 12 Daytime Emmys Awards in the US. DeGeneres, previously known for her self-titled sitcom, is up for best talk show and best talk show host.
US style guru Martha Stewart, awaiting a verdict in her insider trading trial, has been nominated for six awards including best service show host.
The 31st annual Daytime Emmy Awards - for shows aired between 2am and 6pm -will be held in New York on 21 May.

The most-nominated programme in this year's list is soap The Young and the Restless, which is in the running for 16 awards.
All My Children and As the World Turns also figured highly, with 14 nominations apiece.
As the World Turns, The Bold and the Beautiful, Guiding Light, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless have all been nominated for best daytime drama.
The late actor John Ritter, who was the voice of Clifford the Big Red Dog, was nominated for outstanding performer in an animated program.
