Jerry Hall spent just 33 minutes on stage to set a world record

She hit the stage in Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Fame, Anything Goes, Blood Brothers and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in three-and-a-half hours.

But the 47-year-old Texan supermodel did not have any lines to learn - all of her performances were non-speaking roles and one lasted just 30 seconds.

The performances earned her a place in the Guinness World Records.

The bid was part of One Amazing Week, a series of cultural events in London.

She dashed across London's theatreland on foot and rickshaw to complete the feat.

The series of one-off events, organised by Visit London, kicked off on Sunday night with a performance by heavy metal band Motorhead at the Royal Opera House.

The veteran group, fronted by Lemmy, hold the world record for being the loudest band ever.

A tribute to the band on their official website is dubbed "Make 'em deaf - A tribute to the loudest band in the world".

The venue in Covent Garden, which is more accustomed to more genteel sounds, was treated to some of Motorhead's hits including The Ace of Spades.

Other songs by the group include Iron Fist, Killed By Death and I Ain't No Nice Guy.

In a week of unusual events highlighting culture in the capital, a trio of well-known British fashion designers, including Zandra Rhodes, will unveil buses they have "dressed" to their own specifications.

The modified vehicles will remain in public service around London after they have been revealed to the public on Thursday.
