Dance drama heads US box office
You Got Served
You Got Served was released in a poor weekend for box office takings
You Got Served, an urban dance film featuring members of defunct R&B band B2K, has entered the North American box office chart at number one.

The film earned $16m (8.8m) at the box office, making a good return on its $8m production fee.

Along Came Polly, the romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston, held strong at two, with thriller The Butterfly Effect completing the top three.

Owen Wilson caper The Big Bounce made a disappointing debut at number 12.

In You Got Served, former members of B2K play a Los Angeles dance crew battling a rival dance group. The four-strong group, which had a UK top 10 hit last June with Girlfriend, split up last month.

The film had a surprisingly strong opening during a traditionally unimpressive box office weekend when viewers watch Sunday's Super Bowl - the most popular television event in the US.

The top 12 films grossed $75m (41m), the lowest takings since 14 September and a drop of 6% from last year's Super Bowl weekend.
