Julia Roberts, Mel Gibson and Frasier star Kelsey Grammer are among the nominees for the 30th annual People's Choice Awards. Grammer is nominated in the Favourite Male Television Performer category, while Roberts and Gibson will compete for best film actor and actress.
The awards, which honour achievements in film, TV and music, are voted for by the American public.
Roberts and Gibson won the awards last year, Roberts for the ninth time.
The awards are decided by public polling by Gallup, so should entirely reflect fans' preferences.
Top TV comedy show will see Friends and Will & Grace facing off, while Jennifer Aniston goes head to head with Oprah Winfrey for the title of top female performer.
The music prizes are heavily skewed towards country music, with Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw up for individual awards while Alabama, Brooks and Dunn and Matchbox Twenty are the only three nominations in the bands category.
Johnny Depp and Denzel Washington take on Mel Gibson for the favourite movie actor title as Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock compete with Julia Roberts for the actress award.
The awards show will take place on 11 January.
