Cameron Diaz has officially become Hollywood's highest earning actress, ending Julia Roberts' reign as the queen of the bank balance. After earning �25m in one year, Diaz beat Oscar winners' Halle Berry, Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts to top the list, compiled by the 2004 Guinness Book of Records.
Former model Diaz, 30, was launched onto the Hollywood scene at the age of 21, with a part in The Mask alongside comic Jim Carrey.
Other hits have included There's Something About Mary, My Best Friend's Wedding, Gangs of New York and two Charlie's Angels movies.

She also provided the voice of Princess Fiona in Shrek.
Friends actor Matthew Perry has been named by Guinness as the highest paid TV guest star after earning �510,000 for an appearance on Ally McBeal.

Madonna holds the record for the most US top 40 singles for a female artist, with 44 currently to her name.
And Jennifer Lopez now has the record for the most successful remix album for her 2002 J To Tha Lo!: The Remixes, which sold more than 156,000 copies in its first week.
Sir Paul McCartney now holds the world record for holding the highest number of world records. The ex-Beatle is listed in the book 26 times.
And the Guinness World Records holds the record for the highest selling copyright book of all time, after the 2002 edition spent more than 20 weeks on the New York Times best sellers list.
The 2004 edition hits British bookshops on 26 September.
