Combs is a huge rap star |
There is no evidence of exploitation of workers at a factory making clothes for rap mogul P Diddy's fashion label, officials in Honduras have said. A US organisation campaigning for worker's rights said conditions at the Honduran factory were "unacceptable".
The US National Labour Committee said workers were paid slave wages and were fired them if they were pregnant.
P Diddy, real name Sean Combs, said he was shocked by the allegations and promised an investigation.
Honduran president Ricardo Maduro launched an investigation after workers' rights activists said that Combs used "sweatshops" in the Central American nation to produce his Sean John fashion line.
"We haven't found instances of exploitation, or slave-like conditions," Labour Minister German Leitzelar said.
Reacting to the allegations, Combs had said: "We are shocked at this information. We are launching an investigation into this matter, and if there is any proof of wrongdoing, we will terminate our relationship with this factory immediately."
Many of the allegations came from a 19-year-old worker, Lydda Eli Gonzalez, who says she was dismissed from the factory after talking about the poor working conditions.
