Aguilera keeps hold of top spot

Aguilera makes it two weeks in a row on top
Christina Aguilera has remained at the top of the UK singles charts with her song Beautiful.

Aguilera's single Beautiful went straight in at number one position last week, knocking off Russian teen duo Tatu.

Her biggest competition came from Dannii Minogue, who debuted at number two with her new single I Begin To Wonder.

Bad boy rapper Eminem was unable to do any better than sixth place with his new single Sing for the Moment.

The collaboration between rapper Nelly and pop star Justin Timberlake, Work It, came in at number seven in its first week.

Darius Danesh's new song Incredible (What I Meant To Say) also cracked the top ten, making number nine.

Tatu, whose single All the Things She Said had sparked controversy because of its suggestive video, fell two places from number three to number five.

Norah Jones

Commentators had accused Tatu of promoting "paedophilic pop" in order to secure a chart hit by wearing school uniforms and kissing in their video.

Meanwhile, Norah Jones has continued to dominate the album charts after her Grammy success last month.

Norah, the daughter of world renowned sitar player Ravi Shankar, had battled with Tom Jones to take the top spot last week.

Norah has hovered around the UK top ten for many months with her debut Come Away With Me.

But she had not gone higher than number three until last week.

Acoustic band Turin Brakes' second album Ether Song had a strong first week, debuting at number four.

The band received a Mercury nomination and strong praise for 2001's The Optimist LP.

The only other new albums in the top 20 were dance group Moloko's Statues and Scottish band Mull Historical Society's new album Us.
