Kitten star quizzed after 'fracas'
Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton, and Jenny Frost have three number one hits
Atomic Kitten are one of the top UK pop acts
Police are investigating an alleged fracas involving Atomic Kitten star Jenny Frost at a launch party for a department store in Edinburgh.

The singer has given a statement to the police after a "disturbance" was reported at the opening party of the 20m branch of Harvey Nichols in the Scottish capital.

Frost, whose band is currently at number one in the singles charts with The Tide Is High, was questioned by police along with fashion photographer Hazel Mall.

A spokesman for the 24-year-old singer said: "Jenny has given a statement to the police and that is the only comment we are making."

'Assault'

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said witness statements were taken at the store.

He said: "At about midnight on Thursday police were called to a disturbance at the Harvey Nichols store.

"Allegations were made of an assault which are currently being investigated and which, depending on the result, may be reported to the procurator fiscal."

Guests at the party included Ewan McGregor, Robert Carlyle, DJ and actor Goldie, Kylie Minogue's partner James Gooding and Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher's ex-wife Meg Mathews.

The 700 guests reportedly consumed 700 bottles of champagne, 500 bottles of white wine, 10 crates of vodka and 15,000 canapes.
