Some venues were sold out within a couple of hours of tickets going on sale on Saturday, with just a few thousand seats remaining. The band is playing eight gigs at six different cities in December, following the success of their London and Manchester concerts earlier this year. It will be the first UK performance for Noel Gallagher since being injured in a car crash in the US earlier this month, in which he suffered whiplash and shock. Tickets for concerts in Brighton, Sheffield, Plymouth and Liverpool all sold out "in a couple of hours", according to box office staff. Head-on crash Only a few thousand tickets remain for the band's dates in Birmingham and Cardiff. Tickets for Oasis gigs in London's Finsbury Park in July sold out in record time, with 70,000 going in just two hours. The band was forced to put on an extra night to cope with demand. Noel and fellow band member, guitarist Andy Bell, were injured in a head-on collision on 6 August when their taxi was hit by another vehicle in Indianapolis, Indiana. The band was forced to cancel three concerts in the US after the crash. The UK gigs in December are all being played in small venues, ranging from 2,000 to 13,000 capacity. The concert dates are:
