| Sunday, 18 August, 2002, 17:54 GMT 18:54 UK Second number one for Sugababes ![]() Sugababes at V2002 in Chelmsford, Essex on Sunday Pop trio Sugababes have deposed Darius Danesh at the top of the UK singles chart with their second number one. Round Round entered the chart at number one, ending the Popstars and Pop Idol contestant's two-week run at the chart summit.
Their second album Angels With Dirty Faces is released on 26 August. Performing at the V2002 festival in Chelmsford, Essex, with a bottle of champagne, Range said: "It's absolutely amazing to have got to number one and we're all on cloud nine." New entries Popstars winners Hear'Say also had a new entry in this week's chart, when Lovin' Is Easy entered at number six. Six singles in this week's top ten are new entries - MC Romeo from controversial UK garage collective So Solid Crew had the second-highest new entry with Romeo Dunn, which debuted at number three. Fellow Londoner Daniel Bedingfield - whose track Gotta Get Thru This was a number one last year - entered just behind with James Dean (I Wanna Know) at number four. Lasgo's Alone was another new entry at number seven, while former Steps singers H & Claire came in at eight with Half A Heart. Other new entries included Mary J Blige and Ja Rule, whose Rainy Dayz entered the charts at 17. Further down the chart, Liberty X - comprised of singers rejected from ITV1's Popstars talent show - completed their 14th week in the top 40 with Just A Little, which is at number 36. In the album chart, Red Hot Chili Peppers stayed at number one with By The Way, with Shakira's Laundry Service rising to number two in her 26th week on the chart.
