The European aircraft maker Airbus has insisted the industry can weather the economic downturn, despite rival Boeing's announcement it will cut another 5500 jobs.
Airbus's chief executive Tom Enders told the BBC's Simon Jack that the industry does not need a government bailout, just a functioning financial system.
