Finance for emerging markets 'vital'

As countries move to protect their own interests during the global financial downturn, there is a danger that protectionism could be fatal to the worldwide economy.

The Duke of York, the UK's special representative for trade and investment, spoke to the BBC's Tanya Beckett. He said that there were real fears that government bailouts could divert funds away from emerging markets.
