Fraud 'never an issue' at MG Rover

The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has said it does not intend to launch a criminal investigation into the collapse of carmaker MG Rover.

The four executives in control of the company when it failed have always denied any wrongdoing.

Their spokesman Ramsay Smith said he found the government's justification for the fraud inquiry "surprising".
