The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has said it does not intend to launch a criminal investigation into the collapse of carmaker MG Rover.

The company collapsed in 2005 with the loss of 6,500 jobs.

Professor Kevin Morley, a former managing director of MG Rover, said he hoped that money from a trust fund set up for the workers would now be released.
