G8 protesters stage mock robbery

Protesters have staged a mock robbery to highlight pledges made by the leading industrial nations at the summit four years ago.

The demonstration, which saw protesters wearing masks of G8 leaders bundle bags of money into a car, was almost thwarted by a locked door.

"They've promised money for overseas aid and there is a real danger that they are going to cut those promises," Group of Eight (G8) protester Jan Butter told reporters.
