West Midlands expects more suffering

The West Midlands was already struggling before the downturn as manufacturing jobs moved overseas, but now many companies have gone bust.

The car industry is one of the major employers, and as demand has fallen unemployment in the region has become the highest in the UK.

Westley Engineering's Gerry Dunne explained to Giles Latcham how the company has tried to stay afloat despite falling productivity.
