Communication Workers Union general secretary Billy Hayes said he was "baffled" by Lord Mandelson's criticism of postal union leaders over the proposed partial sell-off of the Royal Mail.
Mr Hayes said public opinion was overwhelmingly against parts of Royal Mail being sold off to a foreign company.
