Shares in sportswear firm Umbro are set to hit the stock market just days before the start of the Euro 2004 football championship in Portugal. The shares will be priced at between 150p-190p, Umbro said, giving a market capitalisation of �177m-�202m and valuing the firm at about �250m.
Umbro is best known for producing football strips, particularly for the England team.
Trading in the shares is expected to begin on 3 June, Umbro said.
The Euro 2004 championship kicks off on 12 June.
Umbro is currently controlled by investment firm Doughty Hanson, which bought it for about �90m in 1999.
Doughty Hanson is expected to sell most or all of its 83% holding in Umbro in the flotation.
