Liz began her working life as a money advisor and manager for the Citizens Advice Bureau in Norfolk and Suffolk.

She also wrote a personal finance column for the News of the World, and presented Moneycheck, a daily business programme, on Radio 5.

On television, she has presented Pound for Pound and The Small Business Programme on BBC2.
