On the ground with Taiwan rescuers

The BBC's Alastair Leithead explains how rescue workers in southern Taiwan are working to help survivors stranded by one of the mudslides caused by Typhoon Morakot.

Hundreds of people are still missing, with many feared dead after mudslides buried whole villages.

Taiwanese authorities have appealed for international technical assistance to help rescue more 2,000 people still stranded.
