Haitians' attempts to flee Port-au-Prince

Thousands of people have been waiting at the port of Port-au-Prince to board boats to take them away from the devastated city.

The destination is Jeremie, a village on the other side of the country which has not been affected by the earthquake.

A lack of fuel has meant days of waiting to travel and some resorted to swimming out to the boats in order to get away.
