US 'aware of Nigerian attack' prior to attempt on plane

The US was apparently aware that "a Nigerian" in Yemen was being prepared for a terrorist attack weeks before an attempted bombing on a US plane.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the Nigerian man charged with trying to blow up the plane, is said to have told police that he was trained in Yemen.
