US President Barack Obama has unveiled his new strategy for the war against the Taliban in Afghanistan.
In a long-awaited speech, Mr Obama announced the fastest possible deployment of an extra 30,000 troops by summer 2010.
The new deployment will bring America's troop strength in the country to more than 100,000.
Mr Obama also urged America's allies in Nato to send more troops.
