Obama issues warning to bankers

US President Barack Obama has spoken of the need to tighten financial regulation, to prevent future regulatory failures.

Speaking one year on after the Lehman Brothers investment bank collapsed, Mr Obama said he had urged Congress to pass regulatory reform to prevent the possibility of another "extraordinary intervention" from the Government.
