Raul Castro offers US direct talks

Cuba's President Raul Castro has rejected US demands that the communist island should improve political and human rights as a condition for ending the long-running trade embargo.

In a televised address to the National Assembly, he repeated his willingness to hold direct talks with the Obama administration.

Michael Voss reports from Havana.
