US and Russia seek 2009 arms deal

The US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has said that Washington and Moscow will sign a new strategic arms treaty by the end of this year.

Speaking in Geneva, Mrs Clinton said that reducing the number of nuclear weapons was a 'top priority' and that she wanted to 'reset' America's relations with Russia.
