Hillary Clinton has called for a "smart power" strategy in the Middle East to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
She presented her testimony to the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee which is conducting a hearing to confirm Mrs Clinton's appointment as US secretary of state.
