Been a packed day of 1Xtra duties here - haven't even left the hotel at the time of writing and
its already 11pm! Big anticipation today as the 1Xtra studio was assembled on the 19th Floor -
everyone looking forward to Ace and Vis first broadcast back to the UK.
I've been feeling the lack of sleep/jet lag today... have been on the emails and checking out some CDs given to me while I'm
here. Was invited to a private party with Toshio Matsuura DJing but it was 8-11pm - exactly the
same time as the Lunchtime broadcast (Japanese time), so I couldn't make that.
Was a bit stuck on where to check out the vinyl selections as the studio with the turntables was being used for most
of the day, but one phone call and before I knew it some Japanese friends here had delivered a
portable turntable to my hotel room! The level of kindness and hospitality I have experienced here
is humbling and I am so lucky to have hooked up with such good people on my first visit to Tokyo.
