If you had the product needed to break the UK urban/underground/hip hop/rap scene (I just call it music), who would you approach about backing your project?
If I had the kind of music to break the industry, I'd be releasing it myself independently and waiting for any takers to come to me... if I was that sure about it.
This could be anything from a small white label run (300- 500 units) to a CDR release of say 200 cds.
We all think our music is great, between ourselves and our mates, but it's DJs and the public that decide if it's hot. Get it to the DJs (you know the usual suspects) and let it build. Hope you can make it happen.
