Florida fivesome Black Kids were still unsigned when they came eighth in the Sound of 2008. Like Duffy, they had their debut album produced by ex-Suede guitarist Bernard Butler. Having supported Kate Nash in 2008, the group will tour with the Kaiser Chiefs in 2009.
