The architects, Feilden and Mawson, plan to remove most of the furniture from the floor of the main courtroom and turn it around on a 90 degrees axis.
Hugh Feilden, head of the design team, said judges and advocates would be at the same eye level and the idea was for it to be less adversarial than the US Supreme Court.
