Henry Currie, 62, and his wife Sheila, 63, travelled to the rally from their home in Irvine.

Henry said: "It's a minority of people committing these acts and atrocities and we can't blame the Asian community. We are one Scotland."

Sheila added: "I hope things like this will bring us all closer together as a community and city."
