The UK has enjoyed steady, if not spectacular, economic growth during Labour's ten years in office � the longest uninterrupted period of growth in 200 years.

It has been helped by the strong world economy, and by rising immigration and public spending.

If interest rates rise further, that could slow future UK growth.
